The following is feedback I received from a patient:
"Deb
Things have been going good. I kinda went off the diet a little
bit now I am dealing with it. I am going back on it fully because I
realize how bad I feel. It has really helped me. I truly need to just
keep up on it and watch what I am eating. Thank you so much for
everything."

“Same thing happened to me. I didn't have many "significant" symptoms,
just some brain fogginess, very mild headaches, etc. but wanted to do
LEAP anyway. I went off all my reactive foods for one week and did not
notice a difference UNTIL I went off the wagon at a restaurant and ate 5
reactive foods in one meal...and had horrible GI upset. Thought it was
a fluke so stupid me tried it again...and had horrible GI upset...again.
I am now a LEAP believer...the hard way!

To Whom It May Concern:
I am a Registered Dietitian, with 5 years higher education in Nutrition
Sciences and Medical Nutrition Therapy and 26 years experience/continued
education. I have been working with the MRT-LEAP protocol for the past 6 years. Having
the MRT test to guide my diet recommendations has helped hundreds of clients
see dramatic physical improvements and resolution of symptoms for IBS,
migraine, arthritis, fibromyalgia, chronic pain and more.

It's rewarding to see patients get well, after many years of frustration
with repeat doctor visits, routine medical care and medications that don’t fully
resolve symptoms.

One patient that comes to mind was actually suicidal. His migraines were
frequent and severe, occurring 12-17 hours/day, 6-7 days a week. Within 2 weeks
of Mediator Release Testing and on his LEAP diet, he noted significant
reduction of migraines. He continued to improve to the point he no longer needed
narcotics for pain, and only occasionally takes an OTC pain medication. The
last time we spoke, 2 years post-MRT testing, he said, “I’m running marathons
and it’s wonderful, after 5 years of hell to have my life back.” Nothing he
had tried prior to this had helped significantly and I could not have helped
him to this degree without MRT-LEAP. MRT-LEAP is truly an effective and essential program in my practice.

This was an email I just got from a patient who's been on LEAP for about 2 months....these NEVER get old! This is from someone that did not actually fit the LEAP mold.... her gut just didn't feel quite right for about 10 years. She rarely had one day during that time when she felt well. She had been to many types of practitioners, had many types of tests done, and tried many different treatment modalities, supplements, etc. and nothing helped. Her best friend is a dietitian and referred her to me. I told her she didn't quite fit the LEAP profile for a good candidate, but she said she had tried everything else, and this couldn't hurt, so she did. Interesting though, this is one of the few patients I've had who didn't feel better after 10 days...... she lost her appetite, felt nauseous (hypoglycemia probably), but fortunately stuck with it...... and after about 2 1/2 weeks, turned the corner...... has been feeling great ever since.
“ HI Susan,
How are you? Thanks for checking in- I'm feeling GREAT..I would say I feel 90% better than I've felt in 10 years..no joke.”
This is the funnest job ever!!!

This is from one of my clients I began working with in February (this
is one from the company I worked with where I received 5 referrals!!--
yes it just snowballs!!):

“I have been living for years with the symptoms of Irritable Bowel
syndrome or Food intolerance: gas, bloating, and diarrhea. These
being the diagnoses handed to me by GI doctors after work-ups which
came back negative. They gave me a list of probable food groups
which could be the culprits and sent me on my way. I did the best I
could with that information but it still left me fighting those
symptoms. Having this has caused me to be less social than I would
otherwise be because of the embarrassment of my symptoms.

Then Angela told me about her Leap program and it
sounded like something I should look into for more answers. My blood
test showed I was reactive to many foods and chemicals that I had no
idea I could be. These were things that were in many of the meals or
snacks that I was eating everyday, which I thought were completely
harmless to me. I have been on the program now for about 3 months
and I feel so much better. I would say it has been a complete success.

The added benefits of doing this are it has changed my life. I
used to shy away from participating in activities because I didn’t
want to be embarrassed by my symptoms, but now it is such a relief to
not even have to think about them. Also I use to have a yo yo effect
to my weight, and on this program I no longer have cravings for
things like sweets which just caused me to eat too much and ruined
my momentum for losing weight, my weight is more consistent now. One
last thing is, I have always been an exerciser, but with all the
bloating I could not get a nice flat stomach, no matter how I worked
it, now I have one and it is still flat after I eat a meal. Anyway I
am hooked , thanks Angela for all your guidance.”

Here is a testimonial I just received from one of my clients. LEAP
does have it's benefits doesn't it:

“I began working with Angela in February of 2008; at that time I
weighed approximately 200 lbs and was suffering from hives, high
blood pressure and high triglyceride levels. I was on medication, 5
prescription drugs per day along with a multivitamin and a baby aspirin.

Angela recommended I try the leap program and have my blood tested
for food sensitivities. I was very surprised when the results from
that test showed that the majority of the foods I consumed EVERY DAY
were foods that my body was sensitive to.

I immediately eliminated everything on the list I showed a reaction
to and took myself off of all my medication, with my doctors
blessing. If I was going to see results I needed to know my
medication was no longer suppressing my symptoms.

It is now September, 7 months later, and I am still on a diet that
follows the guidelines set for me in my Leap program and am happy to
say I have lost over 50 lbs, am off of all my medication, except for
some vitamin supplements, and experience minimal hives. My doctor is
thrilled. My blood pressure is normal, my triglyceride level has
dropped over 400 points and my cholesterol is within acceptable
levels. I feel terrific and look great.

RE: Lymphocytic Colitis Case

I just talked with a private LEAP patient today as a follow-up to Phase 1 who was diagnosed with Lymphocytic Colitis which she had for about one year. Her initial Symptom Survey Score was 92. It dropped to 24 in 10 days...a 74% reduction. Digestive went down 100% from 27 to zero...that's correct...down to zero and a drop of 50% under "Nasal/Sinus" and 59% under "Emotional/Mental." Also, all her life she had constipation. That resolved from 4 to 0. She is now having normal bowel movements for the first time in her life. She now can wake up in the morning without gurgling in her intestines which she had every morning for about eight months. She is not tired, and no pain and bloating. She says she feels better and noticed an immediate difference as she began eliminating her reactive foods.

Carol Farace went through the LEAP program this past summer and recently wrote her story for another list-serve which she gave us permission to post. Congratulations Carole!!!!!

“Speaking as someone who has suffered with Fibromyalgia for many years, I spent a lot of time searching for a protocol that actually worked. Multiple medications were never an option for me. Still, there were days in which I wish I had multiple medications. I tried a multitude of interventions ranging from relaxation techniques to vigorous exercise and I think I own every pain relieving device made. Although these interventions relieved the pain, they never completely removed it. I found myself spending a lot of time, and money on something new only to find the same results.

Last summer I tried LEAP/MRT. Frankly, I went into it with an extremely skeptical eye. I kept expecting to relapse. Much to my surprise, I didn't relapse and I have been essentially pain-free ever since. I am now able to exercise, and take part in activities that I love without fear of having to "pay for it" later. In fact I continue to be impressed. Just last week I was able to complete 71/2 hours of exercising without any pain!

I am a Certified LEAP therapist and my fibromyalgia patients have had similar results. Of course, none of them believe me at first when I tell them that this diet will give them an opportunity to become pain free until they experience it for themselves. I ask all of them, "would you rather give up some of your favorite foods or continue to be in pain". Of course, they all answer appropriately but mostly all have come back to me admitting that they really didn't believe it would happen. Now they too donʼt mind giving up those favorites.”
